Pengertian dan Fungsi Cache


Penggunaan cache adalah bertujuan untuk mengurangkan berlakunya kesesakan dalam aliran data antara pemproses dan RAM.

  • Cache ialah memori kecil yang sementara
  • Kecepatan yang sangat tinggi walaupun bersaiz kecil
  • Memori berkelajuan tinggi yang menghubungkan aliran data antara pemproses dengan ingatan utama ( RAM)


Istilah ini merujuk kepada kawasan penyimpanan sementara untuk beberapa fail yang kerap diakses (biasanya dilaksanakan dalam rangkaian).



Fungsi
  • Mempercepatkan akses data pada komputer  
  •  Melegakan kerja pemproses
  • Merapatkan perbezaan dalam kelajuan antara CPU dan memori utama. Mempercepatkan prestasi ingatan.
